PwC affiliated law firm D&B David and Baias has advised French group Piriou on its acquisition of Romania's ATG Naval Shipyard in Giurgiu from investors Teodor Apostol and Adrian Patriche.
The transaction entailed the acquisition of the three entities within the ATG group: Shipyard ATG Giurgiu, ATG Marina, and ATG Hydro-Tehnica Systems.
Founded in 1965, the Piriou group operates in Europe, Africa, and Asia and specializes in the building and repair of ships. It has built over 500 ships to date, including for the French and Moroccan navies.
The D&B David and Baias team consisted of Partner Anda Rojanschi, Managing Associate Adina Oprea, Senior Associate Mihaela Papandreia, and Associate Adriana Popa.
