We're nearing the November 21, 2025, deadline for submissions for the Deal of the Year IF you wish to receive feedback. Submissions past this point will only receive a confirmation of receipt!
To address a few frequently asked questions:
- Are there any fees?
- No! This is a general open call for any and all firms/lawyers working in the region.
- How do I make a submission?
- The full details for the deal of the year submissions are here.
- If a deal is covered by CEE Legal Matters as a news item, is it automatically considered?
- No, it is not – submissions must be made separately and only submitted deals will be considered.
- What happens if I close a deal I want to submit after November 21?
- Deals submitted after November 21 are still eligible to be included but submissions past that point will not receive any feedback to ensure the information provided is in line with the requirements. If you are concerned about submitting three deals now for the DOTYs and using up your "allowance," you do not need to – any firm that submits a fourth deal will be asked which of their other three they'd like to swap out for it.
- What is the final deadline for submissions?
- January 10, 2026, but we will not be able to provide any feedback beyond a simple confirmation of receipt past November 21, 2026. Fair warning: We've had the rolling submissions open since August – there will be no deadline extensions.
As a reminder, this year, we powered with Ranking Copilot to help facilitate the submission process – not just for the DOTYs but for all the firm's submissions to ranking directories. This partnership gives all our readers the opportunity to try out the platform at no cost so make sure you check out how you can use it here.
