BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, working with Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner, has advised Motherson on the acquisition of Nexans Autoelectric’s global wiring harness business, for an enterprise value of EUR 207 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis. BPV Huegel and BPV Braun Partners reportedly advised Motherson as well.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.
According to BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, the acquisition significantly expands Motherson’s global footprint in automotive wiring solutions. Nexans Autoelectric is a long-established manufacturer of automotive wiring harnesses and vehicle wiring systems for passenger and commercial vehicles, employing more than 13,000 people globally and reporting revenues of EUR 749 million in 2024. For Motherson, one of the world’s top 15 automotive suppliers with operations in 47 countries, the transaction reinforces its position in design, engineering, manufacturing, and assembly for the automotive and transport industries.
