Greenberg Traurig’s Warsaw office has established an Environmental Protection Practice led by Counsel Barbara Pancer.

According to Greenberg Traurig, “Barbara advises clients on all aspects of Polish environmental law regulations, in particular with respect to administrative procedures related to the development process, liability for contaminated land and other damage to the environment, waste management, water protection, as well as regulations affecting certain areas of business activity.” The new practice will include several lawyers at various seniority levels, with backgrounds in the real estate, energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.”

“Environmental issues have been gaining importance for all of us, and our clients are increasingly aware that they cannot afford to ignore these issues, as they can have significant financial and reputational implications,” said Pancer. “I am very happy that Greenberg Traurig has decided to create a new practice to help clients navigate this area.”

“Barbara has both the expertise and client trust necessary to achieve great success as Head of our Environmental Protection practice,” added Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner of Greenberg Traurig in Poland. “The establishment of the new practice is in line with our strategy – we are not just keeping pace with market trends but are anticipating the demands of clients in this changing and challenging business environment.”
