Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Warsaw office has advised subsidiaries of KGHM International on the sale of their shares in Sociedad Contractual Minera Franke – which owns the Franke mine in Chile – to Minera Las Cenizas. Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria reportedly advised the buyer.

According to Gide, “the Franke mine is [located in the] Altamira region of northern Chile, just south of the Antofagasta region. In the first quarter of 2022, payable copper production at the mine was 2,300 tonnes.”

In 2021, Gide advised KGHM, among others, on a USD 700 million financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on April 1, 2021).

Gide’s team included Partner Dariusz Tokarczuk and Associates Edyta Zalewska and Wojciech Czyzewski.
