Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen has successfully defended the interests of the Baylor Black Sea Foundation before the Court of Appeals in Romania in relation to a dispute with the fiscal authorities.

The dispute arose in 2017 over the refusal of Romanian fiscal authorities to authorize the import of goods for Baylor Black Sea Foundation over exemptions from VAT payments and customs duties for medicines necessary for the treatment of several serious conditions including HIV/AIDS, anemia caused by chronicl kidney diseases, and certain types of cancer.

The Constanța Court of Appeals confirmed the decision of the lower court to annul the decisions of the fiscal bodies refusing to authorize import.

The NNDKP team included Partners Emil Bivolaru and Valeriu Mina and Associate Alexandra Marutoiu.
