Schoenherr Advises PESA on EUR 223 Million Contract with Romanian Railway Reform Authority

Schoenherr has advised Polish rolling stock manufacturer Pojazdy Szynowe PESA Bydgoszcz on a public procurement contract with the Romanian Railway Reform Authority for the delivery of 20 long-distance electric multiple-unit trains.

According to Schoenherr, “the contract, valued at EUR 223 million, also encompasses maintenance services for a duration of 15 years. It can be extended to cover nine additional EMU trainsets, with the option for an additional 15 years of maintenance.”

PESA has been active in Romania since 2012. According to Schoenherr, “in recent years, it has delivered 17 trams for the city of Craiova and 16 trams for the city of Iasi.”
