EY Law Advises Bybit on MiCAR Licensing Approval in Austria

EY Law has advised Bybit on the successful completion of the crypto-asset service provider licensing procedure for Bybit EU GmbH in Austria under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation framework. 

According to EY Law, with MiCAR as the first unified EU regulatory framework for crypto-assets, Bybit EU now plans a full launch across the European Economic Area, following the completion of the passporting process. 

“It makes us very proud to be the first large, global player to receive a MiCAR license in a procedure from scratch in the EU and the first global player in Austria," commented Bybit CEO Ben Zhou. "We are eagerly looking forward to our market launch and are already working to further extend our licensing portfolio in Austria.”
